Time in Jazz is a festival dedicated to jazz that has been taking place for over 35 years, trying to offer quality events, workshops and concerts related to music and jazz in particular.
Not only sea and relaxation in August in Sardinia, but also lots of music and cultural events.
Time in Jazz is a festival directed by Paolo Fresu, trumpeter, composer, flugelhornist and writer, very popular in Sardinia and very famous all over the world.
Dedicated to jazz, it has been held in and around Berchidda for over 35 years, trying to offer quality events, workshops and concerts related to music and jazz in particular.
It is a cultural project with an international flavor that combines the spirit of celebration and the feeling of sharing an artistic experience in harmony with the territory and the citizens.
In fact, for years, musicians from all over the world have been meeting during the Sardinian summer to improvise, play, sing, share space, time and emotions: a festival that allows you to get to know a different Sardinia by following all the events, to listen to musicians of international fame in unique places with extraordinary landscapes and contexts.
The festival takes place in and around Berchidda: the central stage of Berchidda expands every year with new places and new spaces, involving about twenty neighboring municipalities.
Every year Time in Jazz offers an updated formula that offers concerts, special cultural and experimental activities: live concerts but also book presentations, workshops, food and wine tastings to enhance local products; music-related film screenings; Photography exhibitions and contemporary art exhibitions.
This year the festival will take place from 8 to 16 August and the title of this edition is Futura.
It is possible to purchase a subscription for the 5 evening concerts which will take place from 11 to 15 August in the Arena of Piazza del Popolo in Berchidda.
